INTRODUCTION

Evan is a journalist and not pleased about his latest assignment. He continues to realize his time and energy have been spent fulfilling requirements, but he longs for something more satisfying. An unexpected “exit” lands him at Tony’s Pizza Place where he is reminded about a lot of “C’s”…besides Tony’s mozzarella cheese.
Tony’s Pizza Place and the small Adirondack town it is located in become a “reality” classroom for Evan. Here he renews his learning and perspective on choices, compliance, complications, commitment, and contentment. Each encounter reinforces a simple truth…when personal priorities and choices are consistently aligned the level of commitment and contentment increases.
Evan begins to realize how critical this simple formula is to relationships, teams, communities, causes and organizations. Without this consistent alignment…focus, dedication and results all pay the price.
This story is a must read for anyone trying to truly build responsibility, loyalty, engagement, and satisfaction. First impressions about these desirable traits are that they are scarce but in actuality, they are all around us if you know where to look! Curious? Grab a slice of your favorite pizza and dig in.

NYC Relief

As we searched our experiences for stories and examples to create the framework for this book we came across something special. A selfless organization that has been feeding and ministering to the homeless for 14 years, New York City Relief.
Their work and contribution to society goes beyond the good they do for people and expands as a role modeling example of the messages in this book about commitment and contribution. They are also teaching the givers of time and energy the personal value and satisfaction that comes from serving others.
We are proud to donate a portion of the earnings from this book to this exceptional organization and hope this will in some small way support their good works.
We would also send them a pizza but there is no way we can top some of the best pizza in the US in the New York City area!
